Wood County Hospital offers programs of benefit to senior adults who require personal emergency response systems or home delivered meal service.

Service:         Lifeline

Description: A medical alarm and personal emergency response service ideal for people who live alone, persons with physical impairments, those needing home care or anyone with health and safety concerns.  The service is available 24-hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year.

To call for help, subscribers simply press the Lifeline Personal Help button they wear as a pendant or on a wristband.  The Personal Help Button is completely waterproof (not just “water-resistant”) so your loved one can wear it in the shower or bath where many falls occur.  Most subscriber calls are for minor problems, easily solved with a neighbor’s or family member’s stop-by visit.  When a serious emergency occurs, we quickly call for an ambulance.

The Lifeline program at Wood County Hospital services residents of Wood County and its surrounding counties.

Cost of Service:  A $20 monthly fee and a $20 one time installation fee for Wood County Hospital clients. The fee for clients outside of the Wood County Hospital service area is a $30.00 one time installation fee and $30.00 monthly fee.
